Advancing Parkinson's Research Through Nonlinear Movement Analysis Workshop at ETH Zurich

At Magnes, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of gait analysis technology to provide innovative solutions for the Parkinson’s community. Recently, our team members, Alessandro Schaer and Carlo Mangiante, had the privilege of attending the workshop on “Biomarkers Arising from Nonlinear Analysis of Movement Variability” at ETH Zurich.
This intensive four-day workshop brought together international experts in the field to share their first-hand knowledge of state-of-the-art nonlinear methods for analyzing movement time series data. The discussions were enlightening, and the implications of these nonlinear tools in the field of movement analysis were truly fascinating.
The workshop not only provided us with valuable insights but also opened up new possibilities for the application of these advanced tools within the gait-analysis performed by Nushu. Our goal is to delve deeper into understanding movement patterns and offer our users a more profound insight into their walk and beyond.
We extend our gratitude to Deepak Ravi and all the esteemed speakers, including Nick Stergiou, Madalena Costa, Norbert Marwan, Sjoerd Bruijn, Peter C. Raffalt, and Aaron Likens, Ph.D., for their exceptional contributions to this event.
At Magnes, we are excited about the potential of these nonlinear analysis biomarkers to further enhance our gait analysis technology and contribute to the advancement of Parkinson’s research. Our dedication to innovation and collaboration remains unwavering, as we continue to explore groundbreaking solutions for the benefit of individuals with Parkinson’s.
Stay tuned for further updates as we embark on new research endeavors, aiming to revolutionize the future of Parkinson’s care. Together, let’s shape a world where Parkinson’s patients can lead more fulfilling and empowered lives.
